Employee Assistance Program (EAP) and Advocacy Program

Health Advocate is an advocacy and EAP service provided by CPChem — at no cost to you — that gives you a single point of contact for a variety of benefits issues. Health Advocate can help you and your family navigate the health care system, improve mental health, better balance work and life, resolve insurance issues and get the right care at the right time.

The Health Advocate EAP provides confidential support and work/life services designed to help you balance the demands of work, life and personal issues. Whether you’re dealing with a family crisis or a legal or financial matter, or just trying to balance your work and family responsibilities, it’s a healthy and smart choice to get help should the need arise. You can also receive up to ten counseling sessions per person, per incident in a 12-month period through the EAP.

Health Advocate is available to employees, legal spouses/domestic partners and dependent children. Parents and parents-in-laws of employees who are living in the same house as the employee can also take advantage of HealthAdvocate’s EAP services. The advocacy service extends its availability to both parents residing with the employee and those living independently.
