Summaries of Benefits and Coverage (SBCs)

A Summary of Benefits and Coverage and Uniform Glossaries (SBC) is a summary of material provisions of a health plan in a uniform format, accompanied by a glossary of health coverage and medical terms, required as part of Health Care Reform. The purpose of SBCs is to provide individuals with standard information so they can compare medical plans as they make decisions about which plan to choose.
